Compact Trauma Kit

Traditional first aid kits can patch up scraped knees, but they don’t generally include lifesaving supplies like tourniquets, pressure dressings, or face shields. Because severe bleeding, airway complications, and other emergencies can become fatal before an ambulance arrives, it’s important for bystanders to have quick access to potentially lifesaving medical supplies and instructions for how to use them.

Compact and lightweight, this kit is ideal to keep in an accessible location or to take on the go to ensure that you — and anyone else with the Mobilize™ Rescue app — are prepared at all times. The rescue app provides step-by-step, interactive instructions on how to use the medical supplies to treat victims in the critical moments before EMS arrives.

Compact Trauma Kit Features

  • Medical supplies to manage severe bleeding, cardiac arrest, seizures, choking, and more
  • Real-time, step-by-step instructions provided by the Mobilize Rescue app
  • Clearly organized and color-coded supplies with alpha-numeric labels that correspond to the instructions in the app
  • Multi-user app license
  • App available for iOS and Android devices
  • Time-stamped summary of actions taken to share with EMS
  • Compact design, easy to store or take on the go

Mobilize Rescue Systems FAQs

What medical guidelines is the app algorithm based on?

The algorithm used in the app is based on guidelines from the American College of Emergency Physicians, AHA, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), and MARCHE (see below).

M – Massive Bleeding

A – Airway Control

R – Respiratory Support

C – Circulation

H – Hypothermia & Head

E – Everything

Why deploy Mobilize Rescue System over any other trauma kits?

Mobilize Rescue Systems are the Full Solution – Equipment paired with Knowledge “just in time training.”

What is on their minds (active shooter vs. accidents)?

Mobilize Rescue is not just a “stop the bleed” or active shooter kit. It can be utilized as a “stop the bleed kit” or active shooter kit, but it also addresses other traumas and medical emergencies.

We have a school nurse. Why do we need Mobilize Rescue Systems?

What if the school nurse is not there that day? What do they do for an after-hours event? Mobilize is a ‘force multiplier’ for nurses when there are multiple victims.

We have a fire station right down the street and their response time is very quick, why do I need Mobilize Rescue Systems?

Response times are calculated based on arrival at the scene, not arrival to the victim. What if EMS is not allowed to enter the scene?

Where should the Mobilize Rescue Systems be located?

Mobilize Rescue Systems should be located right next to the AED to provide a complete medical and trauma station. They should be placed in high traffic areas, remote areas, and areas at high risk for injury.

Are all tourniquets the same?

No, there are open loop tourniquets and closed loop tourniquets.

• Open Loop Tourniquets (SOFTT-W) have no limit on windlass (turning device), so if the tourniquet is not originally placed on tight you can tighten it until bleeding stops.

• Closed Loop Tourniquets (CAT) have a limit on how much windlass can be turned, so if it is not placed on tight to start, it may not get tight enough to stop the bleed.

Mobilize Rescue Systems Medical Advisory Team suggest that open loop tourniquets are better for bystanders.

Is the immediate responder using Mobilize Rescue Systems covered by the Good Samaritan Law?

Good Samaritan Laws state in general, that as long as a bystander is acting in good faith, does not receive compensation, and is not grossly negligent then they fall under the Good Samaritan Law.

What if I have no cell service or Wi-Fi, can I access the lifesaving knowledge?

The Mobilize Rescue Systems App is a native app, which means that once it is downloaded onto a device, the user does not need connectivity for it to work properly.

I am not receiving the confirmation email upon registration. What should I do?

Check your SPAM/Junk Folder. The email comes from a No Reply email address which sometimes can be directed to the SPAM/Junk Folder.

What are the ongoing costs and maintenance requirements?

Maintenance – Mobilize Rescue recommends doing monthly diagnostic checks to make sure your equipment is intact and not contaminated (all units) and recharge tablets to 100% (Comprehensive & Mobile).

Cost – There is no cost to update the app. Occasionally, the app will be updated to improve features as well as stay current with medical guidelines.
